Welcome to Koinonia

Serving the community for over 40 years

The Koinonia Foundation, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) Christian non-profit human services organization, serving individuals and families in the communities of Franconia, East Springfield, Newington, and Kingstowne in Fairfax County, Virginia.  Our mission is to give hope and help with compassion and care to individuals and families in our local community who are going through extenuating circumstances, and are in need of emergency assistance.    

Koinonia has been a viable member of the community since the early 1960's.  We serve the working poor and needy with emergency food and clothing, and offer financial assistance for rent, utilities and prescription drugs.  Additionally, we offer various annual programs designed to meet the needs of local families at important times of the year, such as back-to-school, Christmas, and summertime. 

All services and programs are available to our clients, free-of-charge.
