Hopper’s Birthday Bunch – Making a Difference In Remembrance of a Caring Youth
Hopper’s Birthday Bunch was named after a dear friend of Koinonia who passed away at the young age of seven. A special memorial fund was established by his parents to provide blankets, food, shoes and bikes to Koinonia clients.
Koinonia celebrates Hopper and his tender loving spirit, by giving away 2 new bicycles, each month, with lock, helmet and airpump to two client’s kids! Since his parents set up the memorial fund for Hopper in 2001, through Koinonia, we have given over 206 bicycles. Many families have recieved a bicycle from this program. All the recipients go home smiling, the parents are happy and Hopper’s dream lives on.
